Elisha takes great pride in overseeing the workmanship of each and every design that leaves the studio’s door. About the Designer

Elisha Caplan is the owner and creative designer of Elisha Caplan Veils & Headpieces. To channel her growing creative personality, Elisha began sewing at the young age of seven years old. After graduating from Drexel University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fashion Design, Elisha knew she wanted to start her own fashion company. One day a long time friend asked her to create a birdcage veil for a client. Elisha says, “After purchasing and working with the delicate feathers, Swarovski crystals, and Russian veiling I fell head over heels in love. I knew I found my niche.”

Launched in 2010, Elisha has since custom designed countless headpieces for brides, their bridal parties and attendees, prom goers, and other festive occasions.

Elisha recently studied with the talented Anya Caliendo, where she was taught advanced couture millinery techniques. Using her new skills, Elisha has begun creating an exquisite collection of one of a kind heirloom hats that will be cherished for the next generation.

Since Elisha is constantly in production, she is always searching for new inspirational ideas. Elisha credits her beloved grandmother’s extensive costume jewelry collection and birdcage veils as early inspiration. She has a great passion for anything hats, unique fabrics, and vintage brooches.
